My Journey

I exhibited an artistic talent at a very young age but didn't start using it until my early twenties. Since then I have been committed to developing my skills with the aspiration of becoming a full time artist when I retire from my day job!

I have been painting for over thirty years, without formal instruction for a large part of it. For the last 10 or so years I have been seeking instruction from artists I admire. I was a member of the Dustin Neece Painting Group for a couple of years then completed several courses in Watts Online Atelier. I am currently a member of Ken Goldman's Online Mentorship Group through Mastrius.com.

I work with multi-media including (but not limited to) oil, gouache, pastel, acrylic, watercolor, graphite, and charcoal. I enjoy painting and drawing all subject matter including portraits, figures, landscapes, still life, and especially animals.

Although it is not my primary goal at this time, I will sell my paintings and show them when the opportunities arise and I am open to taking on an occasional commission. If you are interested in my artwork, please feel free to reach out to me through the Contact page.

Artist's Statement

Painting is my favorite pastime.

Plein air painting is my passion.

To develop and use my God-given talent is my purpose.

To create works of art that reflect God's light, express His love, and capture the beauty of heaven above... is my prayer.
